Report (in French)

The schoolchildren rarely having the opportunity to meet specialists (scientists, economists, philosophers, scientific journalists), IME suggests organizing workshops of raising awareness  to the contemporary challenges relative to water in the Mediterranean.

A first intervention was made with schools in Hérault within the framework of the program of activities defined with the Departmental Council of Hérault. In January, 2017, IME made an intervention on “flood risks” with the pupils of the college of Pic Saint Loup (Saint Clément de Rivière) in connection with their educational project supported by the Departmental Council of the Hérault under the shape of a territorial educational action (TEA) .

This activity continues in 2018 on the theme of the wetlands and their importance in particular within the framework of the coastal ecosystems and lagunaires. Two interventions are already held entitled “ The continuous-flow pollutions: from the river of the Hérault to the Mediterranean Sea ” and it in association with the professors of the middle school Pierre Deley in Marseillan and the middle school Germain Louis in Saint Jean de Vedas with the support of Mr Serge Miquel, active member of IME. Based on the enthusiasm of the pupils and the professors, IME will renew this activity in agreement with the Department of the Hérault.
